Homework wk4

For my activism project I am planning on attending a run/walk to put a stop to domestic violence. I have been looking in the portland area. Another idea I had for my activism project was to attend  and volunteer some of my time helping out at a center for women who are victims of domestic violence.

Participating in a run/walk is a good form of activism---if you do so, be sure to talk to other people there to learn more about who is participating and why---and attend any pre- or post- run/walk speeches, etc. to learn more. Voluntering at a center is good too, but most centers require some kind of training first--and may be looking for a longer term committment.
